Plus there are many cheap Russian video rentals around town, mostly with dreadful bootleg quality tapes.

Oskar has a large variety of licensed video tapes in Russian. Unfortunately, they don't have many independent films or Oscar nominations either but they do take orders for films from their catalogues. (Also stocks music CDs and tapes). Bolshoi Prospekt 17.
